“A small village with a thousand-year history. A jewel set in the Marche Apennines. Its small size makes it an invaluable art treasure chest with the museum dedicated to Arnaldo Pomodoro, the church of San Silvestro and the Castle dominating the whole valley with its ancient tower. The view sweeps 360 degrees, embracing all Montefeltro”.

San Silvestro church

The consecrated church of Saint Sylvester (San Silvestro), dating back to the year 1000, is a few steps away from the Arnaldo Pomodoro Museum. It hosts a magnificent artwork by Arnaldo Pomodoro: a marble altar surmounted by a large solar shape cast in gilded bronze, a symbolic reference to the Light, dedicated to the memory of the daughter of dear friends.

The Tower

From the village of Pietrarubbia, in a few minutes’ time, you can easily walk to the tower with a quadrangular base dating back to the year 1137. Next to the remains of the tower is the Belvedere from which you can enjoy a magnificent view.
